Event Details

Join a clean-up party and history and nature walk of Mansell Street in McLaren Park, followed by a picnic lunch and refreshments on March 30, 2013.

After the tour join volunteers and SF Rec & Parks to remove trash from the Mansell corridor and surrounding nature areas.

Make sure to wear old clothes in layers (you will be getting dirty and uh, it’s spring in San Francisco), closed-toe shoes, sunblock, hat and work gloves if you have them. SFRPD will provide the necessary tools.

Schedule for March 30, 2013:

  • 9:45-10am: Complimentary coffee, tea and treats
  • 10-10:15am: Welcome and cleanup orientation
  • 10:15-10:45am: History and nature walk with Kirra Swinnerton, plus an update on the 2012 fire
  • 10:45am to noon: Mansell Street cleanup
  • Noon to 1pm: Free picnic lunch and refreshments (they’ll have plenty, but feel free to bring a dish to share)
