THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION: join our march this Thursday at 6PM at Mission High School to defund the SFPD. We will be demanding the firing of officers THIS YEAR, and honoring the lives of victims and survivors of police violence.

Both our lived experience AND data show that policing is a danger to our communities. The only way to end that trauma is to ELIMINATE the number of interactions we have with police officers. A 6.3% cut to the SFPD budget won’t get cops off our streets. Reform doesn’t work and we can’t risk more lives just waiting and wishing that police officers stop being racist.

In a country built on Indigenous land, Black enslavement, and immigrant labor, racism is the status quo. There is no way to be passively anti-racist. Real change necessitates taking action and demanding justice.

Join us this Thursday and let’s make our voices heard.
