On Friday February 8, 2013, join a special jazz evening, featuring the Mario Guarneri Jazz Quartet and enjoy some complimentary food and a donation-based bar (that means it’s free, but please tip like a rockstar).
Trumpeter Mario Guarneri brings to his performances a fresh creative voice, amazing technical ease, and an intense desire to touch people with his music. His career has encompassed everything from playing with Louis Armstrong at the age of 13 to fifteen seasons with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The Guarneri Jazz Quartet features Mario Guarneri on trumpet, Randy Vincent on guitar, John Wiitalaon bass and Akira Tana on drums.
The Emerald Tablet‘s February art exhibit, featuring the artwork of Tibor Simon-Mazula and Trius Fernsler, will grace the walls of this unique cultural space in North Beach, creating a calm, intimate oasis away from the clubs’ bustle.
