Martial spirit is a celebration of martial arts includes a solo exhibition by Justin Hoover, along with performances and documentation of Bay Area martial arts schools and community workshops in San Francisco’s Chinatown.

The artist extracts the indispensable elements of martial arts practices and transforms them into a series of conceptual artworks. The works provide the audience with a closer engagement to the everyday value and practice of the martial arts culture.
