Marvels to Hold Dear: Artist Talk & Closing Reception | Oakland

The Compound Gallery is pleased to present a three person show featuring enchanting small works by Ben Belknap, Elise Mahan, and Kate Mink. Working in ceramic, watercolor, and mixed media, these Bay Area artists create distinct charming works that evoke imaginary mystical worlds. Marvels to Hold Dear features nostalgic protagonists that appear familiar and resolute, oracular objects, spirited spectacles, and endearing environments to bring you joy.

This Artist Talk starts at 4pm and is the culmination of the show, where our community gets a chance to hear the artists speak about their work and their practice, with a closing reception to follow after the talk. This event is free and open to the public. Marvels to Hold Dear is up from April 6th to June 2nd. Regular gallery hours are Wed-Sun 12-7pm while the show is up.
