Massive Women-led Iranian Civil Rights Art Projection on SF’s Asian Art Museum (Jan. 26-28)
Join us this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening (January 26-28, 2023) as the entire front of the Asian Art Museum is transformed into a beacon of support for the women-led Iranian civil rights movement. From 6 to 10 PM each night, @ArtRiseCollective will project 30 images by anonymous international artists onto the museum’s exterior façade that respond to the systemic gender inequality and discrimination in Iran.
Plus, take advantage of our Thursday night hours (until 8 PM) and see Iranian-American artist Afruz Amighi’s installation in the museum’s loggia. @Time magazine says of Amighi and her Persian women artist contemporaries: “They offer a glimpse of a world beyond our own worries.”
