Canadian chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author Matty Matheson is best-known as Neil Fak on the FX series The Bear. He also serves as the show’s culinary advisor and a producer. His eleven restaurants, incorporated under the umbrella of Our House Hospitality, include Prime Seafood Palace, Rizzo’s House of Parm, and Matty’s Patty’s Burger Club, and he is the creator of the culinary brand Matheson Cookware and the workwear line Rosa Rugosa.

Alexis Madrigal is co-host of KQED’s Forum and a contributing writer at The Atlantic. He helped found the COVID Tracking Project and was previously the editor-in-chief of Fusion. He is currently working on a book about Oakland and the Bay Area’s revolutionary ideas.

Omnivore Books will be at the theater to sell all of Matty Matheson’s titles including his newest, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches.
