Watch the final rounds of the biggest, baddest surf contest of the year on Friday, January 24, 2014 – The annual Mavericks.
The public is not allowed on the beach in Half Moon Bay where the contest takes place, so SoMa StrEat Food Park will have all of its TVs turned to the final rounds of the 2014 Mavericks Invitational, so you can watch the 24 best surfers in the world tackle 40 foot waves (weather permitting, of course). Admission is free and there’s a bevy of lunchtime food trucks and a bar serving beer, wine and sangria.
