After years of quiet, the Maypole returns to the Pelican Inn—reviving a time-honored May Day tradition in true English country style.
Join us on the lawn as ribbons fly and laughter carries through the air. Dance around the Maypole, enjoy performances by the lively Pipe & Bowl Morris dancers, and take in the sights and sounds of a classic seasonal gathering. Wander among local artisans, savor traditional food and drink specials, and settle in as the evening unfolds with live music.
Whether you come to dance, to watch, or simply to soak in the atmosphere, this is a chance to step into something timeless—an old-world celebration brought to life at the Inn.
