Megan Stalter is an American comedian, actress, and writer, known for her breakout role as Kayla in Hacks (2021–present). Originally from the Chicago comedy scene, Megan was listed by both Vulture and Variety as a 2020 Comic to Watch. She blends sharp satire with surrealism, exploring themes of social anxiety, absurdity, and vulnerability, earning praise for her emotional depth and unfiltered honesty. Her portrayal of Kayla as a socially awkward assistant earned her critical acclaim, with The New York Times calling her “the most vital voice to emerge during this anxious, isolating moment.” Stalter has been nominated for several awards, including a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and a Critics’ Choice Award.
