Melissa Etheridge broke out in 1988 with her self-titled debut, earning Grammy wins for Bring Me Some Water and Ain’t It Heavy. Her 1993 album Yes I Am cemented her as a rock icon with I’m the Only One and Come to My Window. An Oscar winner for I Need to Wake Up, she continues to inspire with her music and activism.

Indigo Girls, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, have been a defining voice for queer artists since their 1988 debut, which sold over 2 million copies with Closer to Fine. With six Gold/Platinum albums, their latest, Look Long, and the 2024 documentary It’s Only Life After All showcase their enduring impact in music and activism.

Both Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls have shaped not only music but social change, using their platform to empower and inspire.
