Event Details

To keep programs running, the Peralta Hacienda Historical Park has to do an Annual Community Meeting but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun too. So they threw in a celebration of the Mexica people.

1:00 to 2:00 pm: Discuss your vision for Peralta Hacienda Historical Park, Oakland premier history preservers.

2:30 to 5:30 pm: Enjoy workshops and demonstrations about Mexica dance and culture.

The Mexica (meh-shee-kah) people are an indigenous group from Mexico, who founded Mexico City in 1200 AD and keep their culture alive in Mexico as well as in cities like Oakland.
