The City of Millbrae with the Millbrae Cultural Committee is pleased to announce the Millbrae Mid-Autumn Festival that will be held on September 2, 2019, from 4:30 pm-8:30 pm, in the Broadway from Taylor to La Cruz.
People attending the festival can enjoy a wonderful evening under the moonlight accompanied by mooncakes and fulfilling conversations.
The Mayor of Millbrae Wayne Lee will give a welcome speech encouraging community building. Master Chef Martin Yan, of Yan Can Cook, will perform his wonderful, worldwide known cooking show from 5 to 6 pm. The Idea Band will be performing songs in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin from 6 to 8 pm.
Come dance to the music and walk the streets filled with local restaurant food stands, arts and crafts stations, and information booths! Bring children for a fun night in the children’s play area that will be set up at 300-400 block of Broadway. Many of the Michelin restaurants in Millbrae will be serving food on the sidewalks lining the festival perimeter.
In conjunction, the City of Millbrae rolls out Watch Program. Citizens of Millbrae will learn how a neighborhood watch program can protect their family and the neighborhood. Neighborhood watch programs are an effective method of preventing house break-ins and responding to natural disasters.
This will be a great opportunity for people to meet new friends, spend time with family, experience the Chinese culture in a wonderful evening under the shining moon, and together build a strong community.
