Midnight Moonlight Bike Romp | East Bay
The East Bay Midnight Moonlight Bike Romp happens in Oakland on the full moon of each month. While it’s not quite as big as the East Bay Bike Party, these kids like feral partying by bicycle and promise a bumpin’ after party too.
Bring your provisions, a jacket, some music and come for a late night ride by the light of the moon. Aaaaa-oooooooo…
Where and When? The starting location is almost always in Mosswood Park, unless the full moon falls on the second Friday of the month coinciding with the East Bay Bike Party, in which case the ride starts wherever the bike party ends.
Although it is a “Midnight” Romp, whenever the full moon lands on a weekday, they will be meeting at 9:30 pm and rolling at 10 pm. Full moons that land on Friday or Saturday night, however, will still be late night affairs starting at midnight.
Enjoy a moonlight romp just before the full-full moon, which is said to be the biggest Supermoon of the year.
The tentative plan is to begin at Mosswood, then head up to the Albany Bulb and Cesar Chavez Park.
