“A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Musical!” is a delightful romp through Shakespeare’s most accessible and hilarious comedy. The balance of power between the genders and the generations are up in the air in this timeless tale of love thwarted by jealous fantasies and patriarchal assumptions. Shakespeare’s story is slightly updated giving us the opportunity to present to audiences from six to sixty-six: The Rude Mechanicals, an aspiring amateur rock band who perform their rock opera, “Pyramus and Thisby” for the King’s wedding. You will leave the theater laughing, humming the show’s tunes and satisfied by the fact that it all comes right in the end!
