Mira Bai Music Festival: Dancing, SInging & Poetry | San Leandro

Meera was a sixteenth-century Rajput princess from India who renounced her privileged life and royal family to live as a mendicant—wandering , dancing, and singing. Her poetry has been highly influential throughout India and the world.

Rita Sahai and her Vasundara Choir will be performing original compositions of Mira Bai’s poetry which will be interspersed by narration of her life by Suman & Sargam Shah.
