Mission Bicycle Festival & Block Party | SF

Mission Bicycle Company hosts the “Mission Bicycle Festival” with group rides, block party, bike fashion show, a bike mercado, art exhibit, competitions and performances on September 25th and 26th, 2010.

Saturday:
The festival beings on Saturday 9/25 with a Bike Train 3 mile group ride to the Tour De Fat music festival in Golden Gate Park (11am) and a special “10 Mission Secrets” Bike Tour at 1pm ($15 includes t-shirt and spoke cards)

Sunday
Block Party
The main festivities take place on Sunday (9/26) with an all day Bicycle Block Party (11am to 4pm) at 18th Street and Lapidge in the Mission District with Bike Polo, a bunny hop competition, unicycle basketball, free pancakes, volunteer bike fixing from The Bike Kitchen and a whole lot more.

Mercado, Bike Fashion Show, Free Raffle
Inside the Women’s Building (3543 18th St.) is a Bike Mercado (Noon to 6pm) with a market of locally crafted bike gear by aristans and vendors, free Bicycle Coffee, a Pedal Savvy Fashion Show at 4:15p and a free raffle to win a custom Mission Bicycle.

• 12:00 Interactive Bike Polo hosted by SF Bike Polo.
• 1:00 Bunny hop competition hosted by RideSFO. Grand prize: $100 cash.
• 2:00 Unicycle Basketball Demo by Berkeley Revolution.
• 3:00 Trackstand Competition hosted by Mission Bicycle. Grand prize: Valencia frameset.
• 3:30 Live performance by The Bay Area Derailleurs.

– Plus Volunteer staffed DIY Repair Stand hosted by The Bike Kitchen,
– Free rides on the Conference Bike, S’mores Bike, Blender bike by Rock the Bike,
– Ube’s Icecream Shop (frame painter), and free pancakes from Chrome Bags!
