Shake it like a Polaroid picture at Let’s Go Salsa@Jessie, the open-air salsa dance party in Jessie Square (near the Contemporary Jewish Museum), which takes place on the third Thursday from 6-7:30 pm, May through August 2014.

There are salsa dance lessons at the beginning of every event and a different live band provides the fiery music.

Pacific Mambo Orchestra won the 2014 Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Album and takes its style from the classic Latin orchestras of the 1940s, PMO brings together four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, piano, bass, timbales, congas, and bongos, to perform classic Latin big band mambo from Machito, Tito Puente, and Tito Rodriguez, as well as original compositions.
