Tails will wag at Pooches On Parade’s 4th Annual event (that’s 28 in dog years) July 4, 2012. Starting at noon, the public is invited to watch pooch parents proudly parade their pets’ patriotic side down Main Street in Half Moon Bay. Don’t have a dog? No worries. John and Marcia, event organizers, bring their imaginary dogs, Cuff and Link. A stuffed animal also works just fine for parade purposes.
Parade judges will be looking for the pooches wearing the most fun and creative costumes. Categories include: Bast Canine Couture, Best Look-a-Like, Best Float and Most Humorous. Prizes include a one night stay at the Ritz, 25 pounds of dungeness crab, and more.
Take advantage of all the opportunities to pre-register and the event will be free. If you wait till the parade there will be a $10 registration fee.

Post Parade Bark-BQ
Cameron Palmer is turning his attention to “whining” and dining our pooches. He provides a good ol’ 4th of July Bark-BQ and all the fixings. Free for pooches and parade participants only. All are invited to enjoy the Bark BQ, pup-cakes and bark along with the band, Blue. The first 200 dogs will receive a doggy treat bag. Pooches are panting to see what’s up next.
