Families and people of all ages can enjoy a summer Mosaic of Music concert on August 12 at the Bruns Amphitheater in Orinda, featuring songs of many genres and styles from The Mosaic Project’s latest album. Performed by young people on The Mosaic Project’s Children’s Board and Staff, these songs embrace the challenges and joys of building peace.
Be one of the first to hear these songs LIVE – songs created and sung around the campfire during The Mosaic Project’s 23 years of helping create a more just, peaceful world. The nonprofit’s outdoor camps, in-school programs, youth leadership project, and professional development trainings change lives by bringing together people of diverse backgrounds to live, learn, and practice new peacemaking skills in community.
The August outdoor concert will showcase Mosaic Resident Rockstars past and present:
- Chano Tizon (aka SAP SOUNDS)
- Gyasi Ross (aka Gyasi Ross)
- Ashanti Johnson (aka Casti)
- Maiya Lanae Evans (aka DJ Mai Girl)
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early – before the concert starts – to enjoy food and beverages from the café and participate in family activities like face painting, giant bubbles, nature art, and games. Then stay after the concert for a dance party and make it a night to remember!

About The Mosaic Project
The Mosaic Project works toward a peaceful future by uniting children of diverse backgrounds, providing them with essential community-building skills, and empowering them to become peacemakers. Our complementary work with youth and adults not only supports our youngest peacemakers, but also enables us to reach wider communities through schools, community-based organizations, and the workplace. Together, we create microcosms of the just, diverse, inclusive world we envision, demonstrate that peace is possible, and inspire action.
