The Mahea Uchiyama Center for International Dance welcomes you to our world village. A place where students of all ages and abilities can take part in multicultural dance experiences. We are thrilled to offer two free classes for National Dance Week this year, both on Friday 4/19 at 7pm*:
- *Intro to Hawaiian Hula offers students an introduction to classical movement art of Hawai’i, including footwork, hand gestures and historical perspectives. (Studio B)
- *Intro to Tahitian Dance offers students an introduction to the dynamic expression of Tahitian culture exemplified by intricate hip isolations performed to a Tahitian drum orchestra. (Studio A)
Please note, that classes are limited to 15 students per class, so pre-registration is required to secure your spot.

- *Please arrive at the studio by 6:45pm to complete sign-in process and get settled.
- Dress: Please dress comfortably, bare feet, with hair up; (no loose jewelry that can come off or cause potential injury)
