Krispy Kreme (Bay Area) |

Friday, June 1, 2018 is National Doughnut Day, supposedly a real holiday created in 1938 by the Salvation Army to honor volunteers who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.

In celebration, Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut of any variety today at all participating stores including the new location in San Francisco in Fisherman’s Wharf. No purchase is necessary, but remember, it’s just one free doughnut per person.
