Event Details

Dogs communicate with so much more than barks and tail wags! As humans, we don’t always know how to read the signs. But the more we notice and listen to what our best friends are telling us, the better chance we have of helping them feel safe and happy.

Lili Chin’s new book Doggie Language is your perfect illustrated guide to seeing and understanding the subtle visual cues used by your beloved pup to express how they’re feeling in different situations.

Join us for a book discussion with the author, we’ll ask Lili to share what inspired her to write this book, her learnings during this process, and what she thinks all pet parents should know about Dog Body Language.

Lili Chin is an artist best known for co-creating the Warner Bros hit animated series “Mucha Lucha” and for her globally popular dog art. Chin’s dog illustrations have been used by dog trainers in books, educational programs, including in a World Health Organization dog bite prevention campaign. Her viral Doggie Language poster has been translated into many different languages and is used by dog rescues and shelters around the world. Chin’s inspiration is Boogie, her rescued blue-eyed Boston Terrier (12.11.04 – 10.20.20). She currently lives in Los Angeles with a growing collection of boardgames and two newly adopted cats, Mambo and Shimmy. To see more of Chin’s work, please visit: doggiedrawings.net
