Join on March 30th for a powerful conclusion to Women’s History Month with an evening of multidisciplinary storytelling celebrating womxn creatives in the Japanese American community:
We will be learning from Kristin Eriko Posner of Nourish Co., Diana Emiko Tsuchida of Tessaku, and Michelle Hanabusa of Uprising Brand about their journeys to create work that celebrates their vibrant and diverse hxstories. Enjoy small bites by Aedan Fermented and a sake tasting with San Francisco’s first and only sake brewery, Sequoia Sake.
As part of this event, we will be hosting a marketplace for makers and creatives who use their work to answer these questions: How do we explore and remember our family and community through a creative lens? How do we encourage others to explore these histories through the multimedia arts of storytelling?
This marketplace will feature products from the program panelists among other artists and makers. Items available for sale include reusable bags, zines, enamel pins, jewelry, prints, and more! Join us in support of these young creatives and go home with some of their goodies while you’re at it.
