Nightlife on Mars is a weekly comedy show at Murphy’s Pub, produced by local comics Joe Nguyen, Red Scott, and Natasha Muse.

The three members of Nightlife on Mars are the triptych that represents the spiritual base of the San Francisco comedy scene. Between them, they’ve performed with comic talents ranging from Robin Williams to Wyatt Cenac, and have been featured by the SF Weekly, The Daily Mail, and KALW.

• Johan Miranda – Johan Miranda has performed at L.A.’s famous Comedy Store, Cobbs Comedy Club, the San Jose Improv, & the 142 Throckmorton Theatre. He placed 2nd in San Francisco’s 2011 Walk the Plank Comedy Competition and has been featured in the 2012 Santa Cruz Fringe Festival. He is terrified of spiders. Johan currently produces & hosts the Laugh Function comedy show every 2nd & 4th Saturday, 8:30pm at Pappy’s Grill & Sports Bar in Berkeley (2367 Telegraph Ave). http://johanmiranda.com/
• Kristee Ono – Kristee is a guilty pleasure. You really do not want your friends to know how much you actually enjoy her. Relatively entertaining, she has been in the San Francisco comedy scene for five years, carving a nice little cave for herself. She hosted the Ladies’ Room Comedy Open Mic, the city’s only all-female comedy open mic. She has performed at the Punchline, Cobbs, the Purple Onion and anywhere else she can. http://rabidpixie.tumblr.com/
• Joe Gorman – Joe Gorman is a recent college graduate with the cherubic face of a recent driving school graduate. His clever writing and energetic stage presence give for a memorable performance every time. He’s a fixture on the local scene and the founder of Baby Faces of Comedy Tour. He has performed at San Franciso’s Punchline, Cobb’s Comedy Club, the Purple Onion, as well as the San Jose Improv. Most recently he was a part of SF Sketchfest 2012. He is also a stage actor, portraying Luke Skywalker in a stage adaptation of Star Wars at the Dark Room Theater and has worked with San Francisco sketch group Killing My Lobster. http://joegormancomedy.com/
• Jesse Hett – Jesse Hett is a comedian and all-around cool guy. Born in Kansas and currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has performed at The San Jose Improv, The San Francisco Punchline, Rooster T. Feathers, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, countless bars and restaurants, a school auditorium, and a furniture store. It is not uncommon for audience members to ask Jesse to be the Godfather of their children after witnessing his smooth comedy stylings.
