Comedy Line-up | August 1, 2013

Brendan Lynch – Brendan Lynch performs at comedy clubs all over the Bay Area including the Punchline in San Francisco and the Improv in San Jose. He has worked with comedians such as Norm MacDonald and Mike Birbiglia.

Chris Musni – Chris originally got his start in stand up while living in Hong Kong. Originally from San Francisco, he decided to make the move to Asia so that he could figure things on his own, or as he describes it ‘grow up.’ After living and working abroad for a year he happened upon a the only comedy club in the city and got to work. He’s been enjoying making fun of everything he comes into contact with ever since.

Steve Lee – Steve Lee is the only Asian Disabled Comic in America, performing all over the San Francisco Bay Area and Asia, receiving high praise on both continents for his off-beat brand of humor. His comedy blends his Chinese roots with his love for all things American. He performed at Cobb’s Comedy Club, the Punchline SF, San Jose Improv, Purple Onion, Rooster T. Feathers,Tommy Ts, Takeout Comedy Club (Hong Kong), and many different comedy clubs.

David Studebaker – Dave is neither a singer, nor an actress, but he is the winner of the 2009 STC Young Comics Competition, finalist in the 2009 Battle of the Bay comedy competition, and creator of the Young Guns of Comedy – a “critic’s choice” in the North Bay Bohemian and one of the longest running comedy shows in the Bay Area. His work beyond stand-up includes The Big Bris, a Remi Award winning 20-minute short he co-wrote and appears in, which was recently featured at the 2011 LA Comedy Film Festival, the 2012 San Luis Obispo Jewish Film Festival, the 2012 Palm Beach International Film Festival, and coming soon to the 2012 Breckenridge Film Festival.

John Hoogasian – John Hoogasian is the best-kept comedy secret weapon. A wit honed to a razor’s edge through years of sacrifice propels Johnnie’s creative flow. Immediately accessible and fresh, Hoggie’s style is both pioneering and classic. He tailors his sets to the harmonics of his audience. His fearless on-stage adventures challenge the audience to be with him in the moments. He will engage anyone, anywhere with his own unique hand-to-hand banter. In a world fraught with real and imagined danger, he creates an escape route that invites kindred spirits along. His pathos has resonance across all of humanity.
