Guests for the first show of 2014 includes:
- Red Scott – Growing up in San Jose, CA, Red Scott never saw things the same way as other kids; he thought he was cool. Born in the early ’80s, he established himself as a trend-setter — fat, asthmatic, and socially inept years before Asperger’s was a syndrome or obesity an epidemic. When not on stage, Red explores the myriad of ways an individual can be indoors and fully protected from the sun. His podcast discussing Game of Thrones, “Boars, Gore, and Swords” has twice been featured on BoingBoing.
- Kimberly Rose Wendt – Kimberly is the Co-producer of The BitchSlap!, an all-female comedy production. She has hosted their shows at the Great American Music Hall and the Sacramento Punchline.
- Juan Medina – Juan is the President of the Bay Area production company True Hustle Entertainment, runs his own weekly show “The PM Show with Juan Medina” and has performed at independent showcases and major clubs across California. He is a puzzle box with as many soft edges as sharp ones, and despite all of his unpredictability (or maybe because of it), his act is consistently engrossing.
- Mike Spiegelman – Mike grew up in New Jersey, and, like half his high school class, moved to San Francisco. He has opened for Neil Hamburger, Emo Phillips, David Cross, the late Mitch Hedberg, Robin Williams, and many more. He is a frequent host of the Darkroom Theater’s “Bad Movie Night,” and acted in 2008’s Last Voyage of the Omega: Episodes 1 and 2.
- David Studebaker – Comedian and Bay Area native David Studebaker was named “One of the 10 Best Comedians to Watch in 2013” by SF Weekly, he’s also won or been a finalist in 5 stand up competitions and is a regular at every comedy club in the Bay Area. He’s been featured on Newstalk 910, 107.7 The Bone, KSRO 1350, KOFY TV, SF Sketchfest and was a “critics choice” in the North Bay Bohemian.
- Plus Michael D’Bey, Matt Curry and more
