Nightlife on Mars is a weekly comedy show at Murphy’s Pub, produced by local comics Joe Nguyen, Red Scott, and Natasha Muse.

The three members of Nightlife on Mars are the triptych that represents the spiritual base of the San Francisco comedy scene. Between them, they’ve performed with comic talents ranging from Robin Williams to Wyatt Cenac, and have been featured by the SF Weekly, The Daily Mail, and KALW.

Ivan Hernandez – Ivan Hernandez is a comic living in San Francisco. He likes food and some social issues and comic books. He has performed at the SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Litquake, Supercon comic convention, International Cannabis and Hemp Expo, Sacramento Comedy Festival, SF Comedy and Burrito Festival, and plenty of other places. Boars, Gore, and Swords, the show he co-hosts with fellow comedian Red Scott, is a member of the Boing Boing podcast network. He produces Give Me Fiction, a monthly prose storytelling show in the basement of Lost Weekend Video.

Aidan Park – Aidan Park is a comedian, host, TV personality, actor and musical theatre performer. Aidan has performed stand up comedy and regularly emcees fundraisers and events all over the United States and in Hong Kong. Aidan has performed at several of the major houses in the United States and Hong Kong including The Improv, Icehouse, Flappers, The Comedy Store, Punchline SF, Takeout Comedy Hong Kong and Laugh Factory. Aidan also emcees and headlines fundraisers and events. Aidan has performed for Aids Project Los Angeles, Equality California, Asian American Theatre, Taste of LA, Racinne USA, Ironfist, The Hustler Store, Berkeley Playhouse, San Mateo School District and various Public Libraries.

Joe Nguyen – Subtle but sharp, laid-back yet engaging, Joe Nguyen is the smart slacker beloved by audiences for his easygoing delivery and well-written jokes. Raised in the state of Georgia by immigrants of Vietnamese and Jewish descent, Joe was destined to become a stand-up comedian. His unique perspective and likeable stage presence have made him a favorite at clubs, colleges, niche shows and private events throughout the country. Joe is a regular at the Punch Line in San Francisco and Sacramento, Cobb’s Comedy Club in SF and Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale. He won the 2009 Russian River Comedy Competition and has been featured on KOFY TV in the Bay Area. Joe tours nationally with the Mahatma Moses Comedy Tour and was featured in the Kung Pao Kosher Comedy show.

Duat Mai – Duat Mai is an American stand up comedian. He got his start in the San Francisco Bay Area performing at open mics and quickly moved up to showcases. He combines witty and interesting observations with a compelling delivery to hook the audiences from beginning to end. When people laugh they not only laugh but think, “that is true,” and “I have never looked at it that way.” His comedy captivates all audiences from all racial background and all age ranges. After seeing one of his performances you will come away with a new way of thinking and start to spout out ideas you never thought was there.

Abhay Nadkarni – Abhay started performing stand up out of pure boredom. His act is an eclectic mix of experiences in the US, India and elsewhere. He has performed at the World Famous Comedy Store, The Improv in Hollywood, the Punchline and Cobbs Comedy Club in San Francisco to name a few. In 2013, he was selected among thousands of comedians to perform at the SLO Comedy Festival in San Luis Obispo, California.
