Nightlife on Mars is a weekly comedy show at Murphy’s Pub, produced by local comics Joe Nguyen, Red Scott, and Natasha Muse.
The three members of Nightlife on Mars are the triptych that represents the spiritual base of the San Francisco comedy scene. Between them, they’ve performed with comic talents ranging from Robin Williams to Wyatt Cenac, and have been featured by the SF Weekly, The Daily Mail, and KALW.

Nightlife on Mars: “Farewell to Ken Townsend Special”
July 17, 2014 will be Ken Townsend’s last show with Nightlife on Mars before he packs up to move back east, To see him off Viking Funeral style, they’ve packed the line-up with a Murderer’s Row of professional contract killers in the San Francisco comedy scene:
Ken Townsend – Ken Townsend began performing comedy in 2003. Known for making trouble and getting laughs wherever he goes, Ken Townsend is the illegitimate child of Molly Hatchet and the Ramones, baptized in corn liquor, lit on fire and raised on a steady diet of pro wrestling and comic books. Ken is a favorite at rehabs, halfway houses, convenience store security cameras, and more forgiving comedy establishments worldwide.
