Human Banner at Ocean Beach – “NO KINGS” National Day of Action
Ocean Beach (Stairwell #7 at Balboa), San Francisco
Saturday, June 14, 2025 | 10:00–11:00 AM

Join fellow community members for a powerful act of resistance on Ocean Beach as part of the national “NO KINGS” day of action. Participants will gather at Stairwell #7, near Balboa Street and the Great Highway, to form a massive human banner visible from above, spelling out a bold message in the sand.

Organized by local activists Brad and Travis—known for previous beach banner actions—this peaceful, family-friendly demonstration is part of a nationwide mobilization against authoritarianism, political corruption, and attacks on democratic institutions.

✊ What to Expect

  • Assemble by 10:00 AM at Stairwell #7 (Great Highway at Balboa)

  • Organizers will direct volunteers to specific positions to form the banner

  • Aerial photos will be taken to capture the final message from above

  • The event concludes by 11:00 AM

How to Get There (via Public Transit)

  • 5-Fulton Muni bus to La Playa & Balboa (end of the line), then walk one block west to Ocean Beach

  • Or from other parts of SF: Take the 5-Fulton to Arguello Blvd, transfer to the 33-Ashbury/18th toward La Playa, and exit at Balboa

♿ Accessibility

  • Portable toilets will be available at the top of Stairwell #7
