Join us as we say #NoThanks to the celebration of colonization and animal exploitation.
While it can be nice to gather with loved ones and express gratitude, Thanksgiving marks the genocide of Indigenous peoples and the death of over 40 million turkeys every year. But we are not staying silent in the face of injustice.
DxE activists have investigated turkey farms across the country, rescuing well over 100 turkeys in the process. Just recently, investigators documented horrific abuse at a California Foster Farms turkey farm, including dead baby birds whose eyes and brains were eaten out by insects. Four individuals, including a tiny baby turkey named Georgie, were rescued, so they would not have to die a miserable death in a farm or a slaughterhouse.
At this action, we will nonviolently protest against this violent holiday, expose Foster Farms’ abuse, and share Georgie’s story with the public.
