“Nova Albion” Free New Wave Tuesday Concert | Mission Dist.

One of our favorite local bands, Nova Albion, is taking over Amnesia every Tuesday in September for a residency. Each week features different openers and they’ll play different set lists each week.

Despite drawing nostalgic comparisons to ’80s favorites like Tears for Fears and INXS, Nova Albion is also born out of the current sounds of bands like Phoenix and Arcade Fire. Nova Albion has been featured live at Noise Pop Festival, The America’s Cup Pavilion, and Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, and their debut EP Nature is currently available on iTunes.

Amnesia is a cozy red-lit room in the heart of the Mission on Valencia between 19th and 20th.

September 10, 2013 is presented by Eye Heart SF. Nova Albion says, “hip-hop group Even Odds will be opening and we’ll play a song with them that we collaborated on.”
