Bay Area Science Events

The Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary and MSI invite you to take a look at the many strange and surprising things that travel the oceans and drift along the shore by Crissy Field. Use microscopes to discover a whole world of bizarre plants and animals living in a few drops of water. What else is drifting out there?

Join the “Nurdle Patrol” and become a debris detective with a beach clean up at Crissy Field. Find out the links between plastic debris and creatures such as the mighty albatross.
