2024 “First Fridays” Temporary Closure

Dear Beloved Community and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the temporary closure of Oakland First Fridays beginning of 2024 from January to March due to financial constraints. Oakland First Fridays has been a beloved community event for years, showcasing the vibrant art, culture, and diversity of our city. It has been a crucial platform for artists and creators, offering a space for expression and connection within the community. This decision was not made lightly, and we deeply regret the disruption this will cause to our community.

2024 UPDATE: Although “First Fridays” is on hiatus, Oakland Art Murmur art crawl is still going strong every First Friday from 6-9pm
