Memorial “Wind Telephone” Celebration | Oakland

You are cordially invited to the dedication of a wind telephone to the City of Oakland on February 3rd. Come listen to beautiful, locally grown tunes, dance, and call your dead loved ones.

A wind telephone allows the living to reach out to their dead loved ones, speak aloud the words we wish they could hear, share memories, and connect with those that have passed. This magical and healing project, you can read more about here.

They will also have a letter writing station where you can write letters to your friends who have passed which you will mail at the end of the night. They will likely end up at the dead letter office.
