Event Details

Get into the holiday cheer this December’s First Friday as we celebrate the work of Team 841: the Biomechs, Richmond High School’s Robotics team. Enjoy festivities with holiday art (fabricated by the robotics students), music, and hors d’oeuvres. The art will be auctioned – all proceeds will benefit a space for students to explore fields like robotics, computer programming, electrical engineering, and mechanical design, while emphasizing critical soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

The event is sponsored by Oakland-based architecture firm, Design Draw Build and The Crown: Royal Coffee Lab and Tasting Room. Enter the giving season by supporting Team 841’s mission to empower East Bay high school students with STEAM skills and while you’re at it, take some incredible holiday crafts home!

About The Crown: Royal Coffee Lab & Tasting Room

The Crown is an education center tasting room and coffee lab celebrating the importance of Oakland to the international coffee community and its history.
