Lake Merritt Amphitheater | Lake Merritt Blvd, Oakland, CA

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, thousands of volunteers will participate in the 22nd Annual Oakland Earth Day. That’s worth celebrating, don’t you think? Come out on Saturday, April 23 from 2-5 pm for an Earth Day community picnic and Town Hall at the Lake Merritt Amphitheater focused on housing and infrastructure.

Oakland Earth Day is the city’s largest annual community volunteer event and is sponsored by Oakland Public Works. In 2015, approximately 3,400 volunteers pitched in more than 15,000 hours at 90 sites across Oakland.

Bring your food, beverages, family, neighbors, ideas, and questions. Oh, and probably your sunglasses too. Enjoy the weather, company, and conversation on a course of action for making sure everyone is welcome, secure and at home here in Oakland. In addition to an open conversation and Q&A, there will be information booths around the Lakeside Amphitheater staffed by champions of The Oakland Promise and KIVA Oakland.
