Oakland’s Kinetic Arts “Summer Circus Celebration” (Aug 13-14)

Join Kinetic Arts Center (Oakland, CA) as We Celebrate Bay Area Circus Performers, Schools, and Studios this Summer with Two Nights of Circus Acts and Two Days of Circus Training Workshops!

Saturday and Sunday, Aug 13 – 14, 2022

During the day, a workshop pass gains you access to nearly 30 workshops including classes in: hoop diving, slack line, aerial chains, mini lyra, fabric, contortion, rope, hammock, performance techniques, body percussion, handstands, and more!

In the evening, shows include acts from local professionals and young circus performers from the greater SF/Oakland Bay Area schools and studios. Each night is a different show. “Our goal is to host, grow, and make available as much of the Bay Area circus community as possible. The event is family friendly and inclusive and accessible to all.” says Kate Hutchinson, Artistic Director. “We believe circus is for everyone and no one will be turned away for lack of funds! Everyone is encouraged to pay what you can AND pay more if you can to offset costs and pay artists and teachers more.”
