Oakland’s Magic Kitchen at Children’s Fairyland

Children’s Fairyland welcomes the culinary curious to Oakland’s Magic Kitchen, a series of playful cooking shows with local guest chefs and Fairyland’s puppet mascot, Quercus. This special event series sparks children’s eagerness to help out in the kitchen as they learn about food facts and culinary basics!

Spend the afternoon with Tamearra Dyson, the executive chef and CEO of Souley Vegan, while she serves up southern fried tofu minis with a lively, child-centered cooking demonstration. Chef Tamearra won’t be alone on stage! Fairyland’s puppet mascot, Quercus, will ask questions to discover how it all works together to make a delicious, nutritious treat or meal. When the demonstration is done, all guests will have the chance to taste and take home the recipe!
