San Francisco’s historic, beloved German restaurant, Schroeder’s, welcomes the 129th Oktoberfest with its annual over-the-top block party on Friday, September 16, 2022. Celebrations will include live music, German beer, Bavarian bites, and beer games like stein chugging, stein holding, costume contests, and more. Don Lederhosen or Drndl and proudly proclaim: “Prost!”
Thousands of revelers enjoy celebrating the yearly festival in a temporary outdoor Bavarian beer hall as an extension of Schroeder’s in the Financial District. The block party will feature three beer gardens, benches, and communal tables for outdoor dining, drinking, dancing, and healthy competition with classic Oktoberfest gaming.
Outdoor Oktoberfest drink specials will feature beers, a selection of red and white wines, and shots, such as Hofbräu Helles, Hofbräu Oktoberfest, Stiegl Grapefruit Radner’s, Jello Shots, and Jameson Shots.
Cocktails available inside will be Skyy Vodka Tonic, Bulldog Gin Tonic, Matusalem Rum Coke, Espolon Margarita, Bulleit Bourbon & Coke, and Skyy Tropical Citrus Punch.
Food offerings will include Bratwurst in a Pretzel Bun, Giant Bavarian Pretzel with bourbon mustard and beer cheese, Kartoffel Tots with caraway sea salt and aioli, and other specials.
Schroeder’s Oktoberfest involves an elaborate celebration closing down all of Front Street beginning at 3 p.m. with music from DJ Jerry Ross from 3 – 5:00 p.m., followed by the popular Pop Rocks from 5 – 8:00 p.m. After the Block Party, DJ Jerry Ross will continue the party inside Schroeder’s from 8:00 p.m. to close.
Admission is free. All food and beverages are sold at an additional cost. This is a 21 and over event.
