An exhibition of the collages of two of the premier visionary artists of our time, surrealist filmmaker Lawrence Jordan and the painter and collagist, Jess, will be showing from February 10 to March 18 at Mythos Fine Art and Artifacts.
Although Jess and Lawrence Jordan were colleagues for years, their works are being shown together for the first time in this exhibit. The Opening Reception is Friday, February 10, from 5:30-8:30. Events featuring films of both artists, poetry readings, and panel discussions will be scheduled through the course of the exhibition.
Curated by Christopher Wagstaff, this is the first in a series of exhibitions at Mythos Gallery dedicated to recapturing a small part of a golden age of artistic and poetic expression, referred to as the ‘San Francisco Renaissance.’
