Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF

Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or an elitist art form, by bringing it to bars.

Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Opera on Tap San Francisco presents an evening of operatic propositions gone bad. They’ll be taking over The Rite Spot (2099 Folsom @ 16th) for some world class singing and drama.

No one can seduce someone into committing murder like a soprano and we don’t mean Tony. The program will include numbers from famous opera such as Cosi fan Tutte and Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Aida and Un Ballo di Maschero (Verdi), and more.
