Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF
Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or an elitist art form, by bringing it to bars.
Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Opera On Tap San Francisco presents a Fached-Up Halloween Spectacular featuring Danny Sullivan at the piano and Sarah Fletcher as your diva/hostess for the evening.
Expect horribly Fached-Up takes on opera, composers, characters, as well as the general state of the Worldwelivein while singers play outside of their identified voice type; cleverly expanding ideas beyond gender and character stereotypes.
Costumes are encouraged. BYOFood. This event is free with $8 bar minimum.
