Original Famous Twang Sundays is a free, all-ages concert series at Thee Parkside in Potrero Hill.
Come by every Sunday; there’s always a fresh traditional or contemporary live act and a surprise special to purchase from the kitchen.
Sunday, November 8th Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes The Restless Sons, Blue Diamond Fillups to Thee Parkside.
Although The Restless Sons consider themselves a new band, Darren O’Brien (vocals/guitar), Sean O’Brien (lead guitar), Neil Thollander (bass) of Calistoga, CA previously played together for 10+ years as the local punk band Something Cool. In 2012 The Restless Sons added drummer Bryan Goodrich to the permanent lineup. Shortly after Bryan was added they went into the studio to record the EP “A Glimpse of Hope”. Now with a solid rock sound, infused with the diversity of prior projects, the Restless Sons are a young, eager-to-play band.
Blue Diamond Fillups was formed in 2009 as a foot stomping, roots rock and country revue. Blue Diamond Fillups pays homage to the pioneers of 1950’s rock and country music. They play unique arrangements of songs from the likes of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Gene Vincent, Ronnie Dawson, and Elvis, among others. They have entertained and energized audiences over the years and are always adding to the growing fan base of Blue Diamond Fillups devotees.
