Originals Vinyl announces their first art show with artist Fábio Benê. Join them on Saturday, December 14th from 6-10pm. To accompany the show is a hand full of San Francisco’s top DJs spinning all night.

Fábio Benê is a San Francisco-based visual artist from São Paulo, Brazil. His work is influenced by street culture, music, and everyday observations. Benê explores a range of expressions from marginalized mediums to multimedia experimentations, trying a different process for each series. With strong character-based work, Fabio usually portrays images that spark curiosity and generate conversations.

Benê paints over real album covers with imaginary musicians and titles. Each cover is accompanied by a brief description of the artist and their work, completing the new reality. The result is an invitation for the audience to imagine new songs according to the covers and descriptions of the musicians portrayed. Gleefully riffing on traditional cover art convention, the collection is presented as part of a spoof record label called EIM Records. Enjoy Imaginary Music (EIM) becomes the first label to release unrecordable and un-streamable music, instead turning the audience’s mind into a record player.

Come have a cold beverage, listen to great tunes and Enjoy Imaginary Music.
