A world-class ensemble, featuring Grammy Award winner Sundra Manning and introducing SF Opera vocalist Joanna Lynn-Jacobs, will take you on a thrilling ride through time, starting with the rhythmic foundations in New Orleans’ Congo Square. You’ll swing through the roaring Big Band era, bebop your way through the ’40s and ’50s, groove with cool jazz and fusion, and land in today’s eclectic jazz scene.
