Outdoor Salsa Dance Party | SoMa
Shake it like a Polaroid picture at Let’s Go Salsa@Jessie, the open-air salsa dance party in Jessie Square (near the Contemporary Jewish Museum), which takes place on the third Thursday from 6-7:30 pm, May through August 2014.
There are salsa dance lessons at the beginning of every event and a different live band provides the fiery music.
Rumbaché mixes salsa, timba, bomba, funk and whatever else spices up the mood, providing a hard-hitting and entirely unique style of Cuban and salsa repertoire, and their own expressions, igniting enthusiasm in dancers and musical connoisseurs alike.
Rumbaché features Omar Ledezma (vocals), Monica Fimbrez (vocals), Patricio Angulo (congas, musical director), Colin Douglas (traps with timbal), Ed Morrison (trumpet), Darren Smith (sax, coro), Evan Francis (sax, coro), Jason Moen (piano), and Raul Perales (bass). Dance instruction at the beginning of the program.
