Outdoor Salsa Dance Party | SoMa

Shake it like a Polaroid picture at Let’s Go Salsa@Jessie, the open-air salsa dance party in Jessie Square (near the Contemporary Jewish Museum), which takes place on the third Thursday from 6-7:30 pm, May through August 2014.

There are salsa dance lessons at the beginning of every event and a different live band provides the fiery music.

Conjunto Karabalí | Outdoor Salsa Dance Party | SoMa

Conjunto Karabalí is a contemporary Latin jazz band led by all-star veteranos Michael Spiro and Karl Perazzo, playing hard-hitting, danceable salsa. Besides Spiro and Perazzo, the band features Jeff Cressman, Marty Weiner, Bill Ortiz, Miguel Martinez, Edgardo Cambon, Bob Karty and Steve Senft-Herrera. Dance instruction at the beginning of the program.
