Join the Light in the Grove, the National AIDS Memorial Grove’s annual fundraising gala and World AIDS Day National Observance. This iconic event offers a nighttime journey through the darkness and into light, reflecting upon loss and inspiring hope. It’s a night you won’t forget.

A sell-out every year, Light in the Grove brings together more than 600 people on the eve of World AIDS Day, and for one enchanting evening, the Grove is artistically illuminated to honor the sense of loss and to celebrate the spirit of hope. Guests experience an intimate candlelight reflection at the Circle of Friends, and wander reflectively through the spectacularly-illuminated Redwood Grove to a warmly-lit tent where the gala awaits.

The Bridgemen have been tasked with ushering and other event support roles. The shift will start with a complimentary meal at 4 pm, after which we’ll work from 5-8 pm. From then we’re free to enjoy the remainder of the event, which goes until about 9 pm.

NOTE: This is a semi-formal event; white shirts and black trousers are requested. Also, it may be quite chilly, so please dress accordingly in layers.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
