Massive Peace Rally with Michael Franti & Spearhead | Civic Center

A big gathering, “Peace, Love and Understanding,” is planned for Civic Center Plaza on Saturday, August 26, 2017 as a counter-rally to the Patriot Prayer rally at Crissy Field.

The family-friendly Civic Center concert and rally is supposed to be free of political speeches and instead will have music and comedy with tons of local artists including Bay Area native Michael Franti & Spearhead, San Francisco bluegrass band The Brothers Comatose, Mission District group Malo, comedian and playwright Marga Gomez, noted drag singer, actor and activist Bebe Sweetbriar, Bay Area hip hop outfit Mama’s Boyz and more, plus a wide range of activities for children of all ages.
